ARCare Trust I
Providing trust services in Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, Oklahoma and Iowa

Earnings from work or income received from government programs may not always be adequate to meet your child's special needs. While you are living, you can help. But what happens when you're gone? Trust I Fee Schedule Providing trust services in Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, Oklahoma and Iowa

The ARCare Trust I allows you to leave funds for your child with a disability
without endangering their eligibility for benefits such as SSI and Medicaid.

An ARCare Trust Pays for Needs
Not Funded by Government Programs
Funds from programs such as SSI and Medicaid are limited to paying for food, shelter and basic medical care. Assets from the ARCare Trust I may be used for special needs such as dental care, furniture, home repairs, vacations, insurance and other special needs.

ARCare is Familiar with Government Programs
Government-sponsored programs are highly regulated. Since these regulations change often, it can be difficult for individuals to keep up-to-date on the latest information.
ARCare Trustees are responsible for knowing and following the regulations that affect eligibility for benefit programs. The Trustee will maintain records and file trust-related paperwork as may be required by government agencies.

We Understand Family Concerns
The ARCare Trust I is ARCare's response to a need felt by many families. Some have no one else to administer a trust. Others are uncomfortable with their present alternative, whether it's another family member or a local bank. Families want a trustee familiar with the special needs of their family member with a disability. As families learn about the ARCare Trust I, many find that it is appropriate for their needs.

Assistance for Other Family Members
When you use the ARCare Trust I, ARCare handles the paperwork and financial matters, so family members can focus on the individual. Family members or close friends do not have to deal with the responsibilities of being a money manager or trustee.
Fiscal Oversight
Putting money in a trust and specifying that the trustee manage the assets and approve all disbursements provides the oversight many parents desire. This is how the ARCare Trust I is constructed. With UMB Bank as custodian of all assets held by the Trustee, individuals and their families are further assured of the security and oversight needed. Trust records necessary in the administration of the ARCare Trust I will be maintained by ARCare and will be open and available to the designated persons.

Affordable and Conservatively Managed
As a Pooled Trust, the ARCare Trust I is a more affordable option than other Trust options. Minimum fees and asset requirements established by bank trustees exceed those of ARCare. Some professionals volunteer their time to ARCare. This lowers fees and makes more funds available for use.
Funds in the ARCare Trust I will be invested conservatively. An initial minimum deposit of $1,000 is recommended in addition to the $500 enrollment fee.

A Proven Track Record
The ARCare Trust Program has been operating since 1996. Hundreds of families are enrolled. Many families let us use their names as references. If you want to talk to a family already enrolled, let us know.
