In the beginning, ARCare was focused exclusively on long-term planning for families that had a member with a developmental disability. Over Guidancetime, it has added new programs and services that fit each person's unique, individual needs and desires. Today, ARCare serves individuals with all types of disabilities, and is certified by the State of Kansas to act as a legal guardian and/or conservator for individuals with disabilities.

For many years, parents of children with disabilities have been concerned about the time when they would be unable to provide support for their child. Out of this concern the ARCare Program was developed. ARCare began offering enrollment, which involves planning and support services, in 1982. In 1996, ARCare established the ARCare Master Trust. The ARCare Master Trust is a pooled trust which enables parents to supplement their child's income without loss of government benefits. ARCare is governed by a Board of Directors.

A Proven Track Record

The ARCare Trust Program has been operating since 1996. Hundreds of families are enrolled. Many families let us use their names as references. If you want to talk to a family member already enrolled, let us know.
